The first week of school was great! It was a pleasure getting to know the children and I look forward to spending the school year with them. Things are starting to run more smoothly as we get into our class routine.
SOCIAL STUDIES-We began our unit on unrest in the colonies last week with a simulation designed to help the kids understand what it must have felt like to be an American colonist. I'm sure you heard about the "party planning" that was not.
VOCABULARY/SPELLING/GRAMMAR-We will begin our weekly grammar, spelling, and vocabulary study this week. The skills will be presented on Monday (Tuesday this week) and the kids will be tested on Friday. They will be working on the skills and practicing during the week.
CURRICULUM NIGHT-I hope to see all of you on Wednesday at 6:50. We will have much to discuss and there will be handouts.
