We are done with grammar and vocabulary assignments and assessments for the year! We'll be using the extra time in class to focus on science and content area literacy.
The children have worked hard and earned a reward based on classroom behavior points! They have decided that they would like to be able to bring handheld electronic devices to school to use for 45 minutes as a reward for earning these points. We will be doing this Thursday. Your child may bring a cell phone, iPod/iPad, or a handheld gaming system (ie Game Boy).
The content area literacy test is currently scheduled for Thursday, May 31. This will be an application type test where students will need to read passages and apply skills we have been working on in class to answer accompanying questions.
The ecosystems unit test is currently scheduled for Friday, June 1.
