Please return the conference preference sheet as soon as possible.  It will help us to schedule your November conference.  Please return the Halloween lunch for as soon as possible as well.  Please indicate whether your child will be staying at school or going home for lunch on 10/30.  We do need a form returned from everyone.

SOCIAL STUDIES- We will begin our study of the unrest in the colonies this week.  We finished up our science unit last week.  

LA-We're back to a normal schedule this week.

Tomorrow we go to Camp Duncan.  We will go rain or shine, so please dress for the weather.  Also, please remember to bring a sack lunch.  We'll be back to Dryden around 6:00.

ADVANCED MATH-The Unit 2 test will be this week.  It will be either Thursday or Friday depending on how much reviewing we need to do.

SCIENCE-The energy unit test will be on Friday.  The study guide is due on Wednesday.

LA-There will be no spelling, grammar, or vocabulary this week.

We had a great time on Friday at Naper Settlement.  Be sure to follow me on Twitter at @bholston to see some of the pictures that I tweeted.  We have a busy week this week.  Because of the Columbus Day holiday, all LA tests will be on Thursday this week.  Also on Thursday, we will be going to Dunton for the Historical Reenactment.  If you have not returned the permission slip and $3.00, please do so as soon as possible.

SCIENCE-The kids will be testing how well water bottles resist the transfer of heat energy this week.  They will be constructing them on Monday using various insulating materials and testing on Tuesday.
