Our trip to Naper Settlement was fantastic! The weather was excellent and the kids learned a lot about life in the past. Please return the Camp Duncan and Historical Reenactment permission slips as soon as possible.

Please return the Camp Duncan permission slips as soon as possible. Our trip to Naper Settlement is this Friday. We will be going rain or shine, so be sure to dress your child appropriately. Also, please don't forget to pack a sack lunch.
SOCIAL STUDIES-The Patriot/Loyalist debate was Friday. Click here to see some pictures. The Chapter 11 test will be on Wednesday. We will be reviewing until then. VOCABULARY/SPELLING/GRAMMAR-Because of our field trip on Friday, our language arts due dates will be one day earlier this week. The grammar packet and vocabulary activity will be due on Wednesday. All three tests will be on Thursday this week. ADVANCED MATH-The Unit 1 test will be on Wednesday. Have a great Dolphin week! Please return the Naper Settlement and Camp Duncan permission slips as soon as possible. If you have not returned the slips from Curriculum night, please sign them and send them to school with your child. MAP testing is over for us. It will continue this week for other grade levels and make up tests.
SOCIAL STUDIES-The kids are preparing to debate as either a Patriot or a Loyalist in the debate that will be happening on Friday. There are three Loyalists and three Patriots. They will debate their positions on declaring independence from Britain. Look for pictures next week! SMALL-GROUP READING-Now that testing is over, we are ready to begin small-group reading. The kids will be reading a book about the American Revolution based on their instructional level and they will receive small-group instruction as well. Have a great Dolphin week! SOCIAL STUDIES-The Chapter 10 test is Monday. We reviewed last week. MAP Testing-We have MAP Testing this week. Math will be Tuesday morning and Reading will be Thursday afternoon. MATH-Because of MAP testing, we will only have math this week on Monday and Thursday. Have a great Dolphin week! |
