This is a "normal" vocabulary and grammar week. Vocabulary sentences are due Tuesday practice questions and grammar packets are due Thursday, and quizzes will be on Friday.
Student numbers 11-19 have reading logs due on Friday.
Permission slips should have come home today for a trip to see a play, "Freedom Riders", in February. We are doing these slips so early due to the timing of the break and when we need to settle up with the theatre. This will tie in directly with an integrated unit of study about the Civil Rights movement that we will begin after winter break. Please return these forms by Friday, December 15th.
The children have worked hard and earned a reward based on classroom behavior points! They have decided that they would like to be able to bring handheld electronic devices to school to use for 45 minutes as a reward for earning these points. We will be doing this Friday (12/8). Your child may bring a cell phone, iPod/iPad, or a handheld gaming system (ie Game Boy). They will not be able to access the school’s WiFi (Internet) and they will only be able to play games or apps already on their devices. If they choose not to bring a device from home, they will be able to use a laptop or iPad here. They will also be closely monitored as they are every time they use wireless devices here at school.
Have a great Dolphin week!
