Our vocabulary routine continues next week. Vocabulary sentences will be due on Wednesday; the 10 question vocabulary assignment on Edmodo will be due on Thursday. The vocabulary quiz will be on Friday. The Quizlet to review next week’s prefix can be found on Edmodo or by clicking here. Students will also receive a new literacy checklist to put in their assignment notebooks on Monday. Reading response letters and Vlog assignments were introduced today. Students with numbers 1-10 will have their first reading response letter due on Friday, 9/27/19; students with numbers 11-20 will have their first Vlog due on Friday, 9/27/19. We’re wrapping up our launch unit in reading. We’ll be reviewing in class on Monday and Tuesday; the launch unit test will be on Wednesday. Students should be sure they can identify story elements (character, setting, plot, conflict, and resolution). Students will receive a practice test on Monday to help them review and prepare.
We’re also wrapping up our Earth in Space unit. A study guide will be assigned on Monday and due on Tuesday. The unit test will be on Thursday. Resources to review will be posted to Edmodo or can be found here.
Please remember to sign and return your student’s Friday folder on Monday. All papers in the pockets can be left at home.
School picture day is Wednesday, September 25. Our class is scheduled for pictures at 11:10.
If you have not yet returned your Camp Duncan form and payment, please be sure to do so as soon as possible. If you haven’t returned your 5th grade t-shirt form and payment, please be sure to get that in, as well.
