Welcome to the Third Trimester!
We will resume our vocabulary and grammar routines after spring break to allow time for trimester reflections and wrap up this week and next.
If you have not yet returned your permission slip for the South field trip, please do so as soon as possible. Permission slips were sent home with students last Friday.
Tuesday, March 12, 5th grade students will be taking the Illinois Science Assessment. This test will take place first thing in the morning. There is only one session of this assessment, so the testing will be completed on Tuesday.
Thursday, March 14, will be the Robert Crown Linda/Michael presentations. Students will bring home a booklet after these presentations, so be on the lookout for that so you can have follow-up conversations at home.
March 14 and 15 is the 5th grade basketball shoot-out! Students will be participating during their normal gym class period. Information about pledges and sponsorship went home in today’s Friday folder.
Vlogs for students (13-24) will be due on Friday, March 15. The directions, topic choices, and rubric for assessing them can be found here.
Please check with your student to see how their school supplies are holding up. Let me know if you need help securing additional school supplies.
Conference letters went home with students on March 5. If you are unable to make your assigned conference time, please let me know as soon as possible.

As a reminder, due to the additional days off from our winter weather, the district has pushed back the end of the trimester and sending report cards home by 1 week. Report cards will now be emailed to you on Friday, March 15th. This DOES NOT impact scheduled conferences or spring break, just when you get the progress report. :)
